Why Locals Love Restaurante Los Marinos Paco

Nestled along the scenic P.º Marítimo Rey de España in Fuengirola, Restaurante Los Marinos Paco stands out as a premier destination for lovers of authentic Mediterranean and Spanish seafood cuisine. This charming restaurant captures the very essence of coastal dining with its fresh, vibrant flavors and a menu that pays homage to traditional Mediterranean culinary art.

The heart of Los Marinos Paco’s appeal lies in its remarkable selection of classic dishes that celebrate the sea. Their Paella de Marisco is an absolute must-try — a sumptuous, saffron-infused rice cooked to perfection and brimming with the freshest shellfish, ideal for sharing as it requires a minimum of two people. For those craving something richer, the Arroz Caldoso con Bogavante and Arroz Caldoso con Carabineros offer a delightfully saucy experience, blending the natural sweetness of lobster and carabineros with perfectly cooked, slightly soupy rice that teases the palate.

If black rice is your indulgence, the Arroz Negro, infused with squid ink, delivers an intense and savory depth that seafood enthusiasts will adore. Alongside their rice dishes, an impressive array of oven-baked and espeto-grilled fish selections beckons—from tender, flaky seabass (Lubina) to succulent sea bream (Voraz) and meaty monkfish (Rape)—each priced by weight but guaranteed to be fresh and expertly prepared.

Complementing the food is a carefully curated wine list featuring whites such as the crisp Verdejo de la Casa and the aromatic Viña Esmeralda, enhancing the vibrant seafood flavors and elevating the overall dining experience.

Guests repeatedly praise the restaurant for its dedication to quality ingredients and authentic taste. Alexander Dmitrienko was impressed by the freshness and flavor-packed dishes like lobster and gambas pilpil, while Dani recalls the intoxicating aroma of perfectly cooked gambas al ajillo that invites you to savor every bite. The local charm is further enhanced by attentive, knowledgeable staff, as Carsten Hauge points out, creating an inviting atmosphere where both tourists and locals feel at home. Though the lighting may lean toward the utilitarian, and outdoor smoking sometimes wafts inside as Susanne Steiner notes, the flawless seafood and warm service more than compensate, making it a beloved fixture in the area.

Whether you're embracing a leisurely Sunday gathering or seeking a genuine taste of Mediterranean maritime tradition, Restaurante Los Marinos Paco promises an authentic and flavorful journey. It beckons those who crave not just a meal, but an immersive experience where the freshest seafood meets the spirited culinary culture of Málaga’s coast.

Great place for dinner. We had bottle of great Albarinjo and Lobster for the main dish. All portions were really good and tasty. One thing I was missing was vinaigrette dressing for oysters. They chopped up some red onion which was nice. Gambas pilpil were smooth and they tasted like prawns. They use best and fresh ingredients here for sure. Almehas were nice and sauce had a nice taste of white wine in it. Lobster was grilled perfectly it was delicious. Service was good overall. Restaurant is quite busy so you have to reserve a table to be outside. Price is on the high end but still in range compared to others. Seems that Carvajal side has the best Seafood restaurants in Fuengirola.

We had a fantastic experience at Los Marinos Paco during our visit to Fuengirola. This is the kind of place that truly makes you feel the essence of the Mediterranean, both in terms of the atmosphere and the food. We started with gambas al ajillo, which were absolutely excellent — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and with that rich garlic aroma that immediately makes you want to mop up every last bit of sauce with bread. The croquettes were also outstanding, crisp on the outside and creamy inside, clearly homemade and done with care. For the main, we had the grilled squid, which was beautifully charred, tender and juicy. The quality of the seafood really stood out, everything tasted incredibly fresh. The location is another highlight. The terrace is right on the beach, so you get the sea breeze and beautiful views while you eat. It gives the whole experience a relaxed and authentic vibe, perfect for a long lunch by the water. The service matched the food — the staff were very friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and always ready with a smile. You really feel welcomed here. Overall, this is a place worth seeking out in Fuengirola. Fresh seafood, great cooking, a beachside terrace and warm service — it’s hard to ask for more. Highly recommended!

The quality of the fish dishes is really good. The staff is friendly. The ambience is not so nice. In the evening it does not work comfortably because the light is very bright and comes from ceiling lights, which are more reminiscent of the lighting of an aging supermarket. But for really good fish, you like to buy it. The only disturbing thing is that there is smoking outside and the smoke moves into the guest room.

The place is authentic, friendly and has a nice atmosphere. Competent waiters in droves. This place gathers the natives on Sundays and probably every other day as well. I've been here before and I'll be back. When there are cloth napkins and tablecloths, you know what you're going to get

⭐⭐⭐⭐½ Traditional beachfront restaurant in Carvajal. Los Marinos Paco is a true classic, a traditional chiringuito with a long family history, and it shows in the quality of their ingredients and the care put into every dish. The seafood is always fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. We’ve eaten here several times and have consistently enjoyed excellent service and outstanding food. A warm recommendation for anyone looking to experience authentic Andalusian cuisine by the sea.

We ate here twice during our holiday. The location is right on the beach with both open air and indoor tables. There is a great choice of fresh fish and we would recommend the Tuna and the baby hake which came with a selection of fresh vegetables. The staff are friendly and the service is relaxed. Great choice of deserts.

Lovely place to eat near to the beach. Great menu and service was good (April). I would advise booking a table in advance especially in the summer months. Food was great and tables well presented. Vast menu with seafood taking the main number of items (as expected). Reasonable prices for location.
